This is some rather late and ongoing news, but Inheritance fansite, Shur'tugal.com, has been conducting Question and Answer sessions with Christopher Paolini throughout the last few months--the most recent was only last month!

The question and answer sessions will be every month until the release of Book IV. Shur'tugal is taking your questions every month, so if you have time, drop by their site and submit your own.
