So, we got some reports on the sales of Brisingr as well as our site.
First off, some great news in terms of Brisingr's selling over the past weekend. Random house reports that over 550,000 copies of Brisingr were sold in its first 24 hours of publication - crushing their previous records held by Eldest - meaning that the new book sold four times more than the previous. Canadian press points out that Brisingr, unfortunately, fell under the sales of previous midnight releases such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and Breaking Dawn.
Still, fans should be proud and happy to know that this was Random House's largest and fastest selling book to date. Not only this, but Brisingr is being named the fastest selling book of the year in the UK by Telegraph!
With the UK in mind, they are reporting the sale of over 45,000 copies within the first day. Random House Australia, too, just reported today that within 3.5 hours of the book's publication, Brisingr sold over 19,000 copies.
We had some boosting all times here on the site as well! The day of Brisingr's publication (Sep. 20th), we got double the amount of visitors than we normally do. Not only this, but the hunger of wanting to discuss the book with other fans has brought more and more members to the B.N as we are now totaling over 300.
Keep checking back here for more and more info!
